GENITORTURERS

October 1, 2009 – Renowned for their status as agents provocateur of the underground hard rock and industrial metal scenes, the latex defining and pop-culture defying Genitorturers return with the Nov. 3 release of Blackheart Revolution [G-Force/MVD Entertainment].

The outfit’s fifth studio release, Blackheart Revolution is a mesmerizing blend of infectious riffs and riotous overtures that lay the sexually-charged foundation for frontwoman Gen, the master of turbo-charged ceremonies and erotic rituals. The Genitorturers live spectacle returns to the road October 24, with the first leg of dates running through November (itinerary below).

“We wanted to make a big rock record that translates the same excitement I felt when I heard AC/DC’s Highway to Hell for the first time, combined with the dark intrigue of Alice Cooper’s Welcome to My Nightmare,” says Gen of the new release. “We wanted something that shakes the walls, grabs you by the balls, and scares you a bit in the process!”

Mission accomplished, as Blackheart Revolution combines the band’s signature, genre-bending style of aggressive rock, seductive metal and underground electric pop. Co-Produced by David “Evil D” Vincent [Morbid Angel] and Scott Humphrey [Motley Crue, Rob Zombie, Ozzy Osbourne], the album is a roller coaster ride of musical twists, sonic turns and reckless abandon.

A product of Orlando, Florida’s musical underbelly, what Genitorturers lack in wholesome family fun, they make up for in their celebration of the unspeakable, embracing and exploring our conservative culture’s taboos. They caught the ear (and eye) of legendary music industry magnate Miles Copeland, who signed the band to their first deal on his I.R.S. label, where they joined the ranks of fellow Copeland signings Gary Numan, The Go-Gos and R.E.M.

The lead single from Blackheart Revolution, “Cum Junkie,” is currently available via digital release, as well as in limited-edition, 7-inch vinyl. The collectible physical release will be the first in a series of vinyl singles to be released from the album, each complete with expansive packaging and uncensored artistic detail.

From their beginnings as upstart mavericks, to their current status as veteran iconoclasts, the only boundaries the Genitorturers know are the boundaries that they shatter.

GUANO APES

GUANO APES  Press Info:

It was back in 1994 that Sandra Nasic, Dennis Poschwatta, Stefan Ude and  Henning Ruemenapp teamed up for a band they eventually called ‚Guano Apes‘.

Combining powerful and unsual rhythms, complex harmonies and intriguing  melodies they stormed through Germany’s music scene with their debut album  ‚Proud like a god‘ in 1997 and took off for full scale tours through most of Europe  and even North America touring with the likes of Creed or P.O.D. ‚Proud like a god’ ended up being the most sold debut album of an  english speaking german band and managed to keep this record up to to  the current date reaching gold and platinum status in several European Countries.

After intensive touring Guano Apes returned with their second album  ‚Don’t give me names’ in 2000  which entered the german charts on #1  straight away and lead to continuing success in even more european countries.

In 2003 their third album ‚Walking on a thin line‘ marked further creative  development of Guano Apes establishing them as one of the most successful german bands ever by hitting the top of the european charts once more.

The band achieved numerous awards including the MTV Award for  Best German Act, gold and platinum awards all over Europe as well as  two Echo Awards and the IFPI Award for selling one million copies of  their debut record in Europe. They kept on touring until 2005 before they parted separate ways to  initiate various other projects.

Guano Apes have always been very well renown for their amazing stage  presence and powerful live shows.

After four years of silence they will now be back together on stage for  a series of european festivals - so expect this summer to be a very hot one!
